Faith Factory: A Ministry to Children at Calvary Baptist Church

Faith Factory, our ministry for 1st-6th graders, is designed to build up the foundational truths that are found in God’s Word by reaching and teaching today’s kids. With relevant, high-energy moments in large and small group settings, our goal is always to teach God’s instruction, the Bible.

Every moment within the Faith Factory is intentional and meant to impact each child. Of course,we get into some wild and crazy games too during our many different special events throughout the year. Families, if you are plugged into The Faith Factory, you will be given the tools to build a strong life for Jesus Christ.

DAY SHIFT: Two Combined Chances to Grow on Sunday Mornings

DAY SHIFT is our approach to reaching kids on Sunday morning with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the great and mighty truths that He would have each of us to live out daily.

We take a month-long look at a certain virtue found in the Bible and see how we can build that virtue into our lives. We accomplish this task during our DAY SHIFT by having a large-group time and singing God-focused songs together, experiencing a story found in God’s Word, and experiencing a time of small groups.

In our small groups we enjoy a fun activity that teaches the “bottom-line” in a fresh way. We also share in a time of reviewing the story from our large group, all while sharing in prayer requests together.

WHEN IS DAY SHIFT?

Well, at Calvary’s Faith Factory, we have an opportunity to offer each family multiple choices. Depending on the family’s desire to worship at the 9:45 or 11:05 Services, there is a DAY SHIFT for your child. At these times, we offer a great time together!

Choose one or both Day Shift hours for your child:

  1. Families can choose to worship as a family if they desire to do so. We value this time as families worship together.
  2. Families can also choose to have their children be inspired and led in our DAY SHIFT for both hours. We also value the reinforcement and clarity that can come with children experiencing DAY SHIFT back-to-back. We offer different small group opportunities each hour to aid in each child’s understanding.

For our families that worship at 8:25, at this time, we are encouraging children to worship with their families.

No matter what your family makeup is, we offer a place to worship and grow in small groups. It is our heartbeat that EVERYONE plug into a small group.

Night ShiftNight Shift

NIGHT SHIFT: Our Wednesday night discipleship/outreach program.

If our Sunday Morning time is our DAY SHIFT, then our Wednesday night gathering would of course be our NIGHT SHIFT in our Faith Factory.

Now, our Wednesday nights have the same message, Scripture, and focus as our Sunday morning.

Parents, that means you have more time with less material in your home to lead your kids to be the spiritual giant you so greatly desire.

Kids, of course we are still going to continue in games, in theme nights, and tons of fun. The things we are going to be memorizing will be all found on a handout that will be given out each month, found in our Welcome Center, or even online.

We will we be supporting a semester-long mission project of providing kids around the world with clean drinking water, but we will also have a theme night once a month that revolves around something we can do here in our community to serve others.

If you liked all of the rotations of AWANA, like game-time, large-group time, and small group Scripture memory, then you will love NIGHT SHIFT!

Zone 56Zone 56

ZONE 56: A Focus on our preteen students

ZONE 56 is a way for Calvary Baptist Church to focus on our Preteen students. Kids that make up this group are dealing with a lot of different situations. So, we are offering a new look to address some tough issues and build a solid group of friends.

Not only will this group of 5th and 6th graders have their own game-room specifically for them, but this will also be the area where all their small groups meet.

But, it’s not just about a cool location or a new name, but an idea that we are building up friendships that are strong to help each student through this age filled with struggles.

So, students of 5th and 6th grade, prepare to enter... ...ZONE 56.

ElevateElevate

ELEVATE: Our Wednesday-night focus to give children the tools needed to elevate their point of view to see God’s Great Plan.

Sunday nights from 6:00-7:00 p.m.

This ministry features options of six-week rotations that the children can pick from which promote using their skills to ELEVATE their posture to God.

6:00-6:30: Large Group Time.

We work on songs that we will sing on some Sunday mornings in our Main Worship Center, as well as, music for our Church-wide “Christmas at Calvary.”

6:30-7:00: Break-out rotations to meet.

Children can choose from break-outs like: praise team, drama, set design/tech team, choreography, to name some of the main breakout sections.

After six weeks, children can choose to move to another rotation or sign up for the same rotation.

These groups will be able to use their gifts that they have practiced, as a team, to promote worship during our DAY SHIFT Sunday School hours.

The idea is to have our Sunday Night ministry promote and support our Sunday Morning ministry. This will lead to a stronger Sunday morning experience for each child.
