Acts 1:8 ACTion Fair

 One of the main goals of the Acts 1:8 ACTion Fund is to increase the involvement  of Calvary in missions. Save the date for January 15, 2012. You can learn more about all the organizations and learn how to get involved.

Note from the Council

The Missions Council discovered very early in their work that there were large gaps in the knowledge of exactly what our mission activities were, who are involved, and the opportunities for participation by Calvary attendees.  They strongly recommend that a new program to educate our members on service opportunities be conducted.  

The Council recommended we hold missions fair in the family life center to give each of the recommended missions an opportunity to describe their work through information booths and sign up opportunities.  In addition, the Council recommends that Calvary periodically highlight the work of a particular mission during morning services to draw attention to the mission and again, promote service opportunities.  These may best be done using a short video provided by the mission and edited for presentation to the Church body.
